With investment in the service infrastructure, this enabled Skyguard to create new devices, software, and the construction of an Alarm Receiving Centre in Surrey – the first single-purpose facility in the UK to be certified to the highest industry standards (BS 8484:2016, BS 5979 Cat II, ISO 9001).
Further investment allowed Skyguard to launch the world’s first localised emergency response service in 36 countries across Europe and South Africa, during August 2011.
In March 2013, the company reached profitability as a result of significant growth in 2012 which saw Skyguard more than double its customer base. This achievement marked Skyguard as the UK’s fastest growing lone worker protection supplier and provided a solid foundation for future expansion.
In 2014 the company’s success was acknowledged by the industry when it won the ‘Best Deployment of Lone Worker Technology’ for its work with Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust, at the Security Fire and Excellence Awards.
2015 saw continued product and service development which included the launch of a new version of the MySOS personal safety device, boasting more features in an even smaller design.
The company has made further product developments in 2016, with the launch of an innovative Bluetooth ‘SmartButton’ accessory which connects to a refreshed Smartphone app.
Skyguard is committed to maintaining its position as Europe’s market leader in lone worker protection, by developing innovative products and providing a first class service, at highly competitive prices.
“I would most definitely recommend Skyguard to other organisations. This is a very discreet yet supportive service that provides security for staff members in formal situations.”
“Skyguard’s MySOS was the obvious choice as it incorporates the latest technology, whilst being easy to use and offers good value for money.”
“It’s all about peace of mind and that sense of security that we have gained from implementing the service. Skyguard provides great security at minimal cost.”
“The reliability is a major factor obviously. The service is simple to set up and easy to use but it needs to work for people to trust it. Skyguard, quite simply, works.”
